From Romance to Action - Anushka in Alex Pandian

Actress Anushka Shetty, the charming doll of South India was introduced in Tamil pairing Madhavan in "Rendu", became most wanted actress after a mass hit Arunthathi. She has tried out different roles in her industry career so far. Shedding her sweet girl image, Anushka will reportedly perform risky stunts in her forthcoming film Alex Pandian opposite superstar Karthi.



In the Suraaj-directed film, Anushka will be seen jumping from the running train along with Karthi to escape from the villains chasing them in a helicopter. Though offered, the actress has denied to use a dupe to do the stunt and did it all by herself, sources said. According to reports, a whopping one-and-a-half crores has been spent on this one scene and it took 15 days in shooting the action sequence.

The Movie is produced by KE Gnanavelraja under Studio Green Banner, Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Saravanan is cranking the camera for Alex Pandian. Santhanam, Sanusha and Nikitha are also casting in the key roles.

Rumor mills are working overtime suggesting that Samantha who is red hot in Tamil-Telugu cinema has been approached to share screen space with Karthi in Venkat Prabhu's next. The most sought actress is yet to show green signal..

'Biriyani', a romantic comedy will be produced by Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green. The film will go on floors this August and will bear the tagline, 'A Venkat Prabhu Diet'. It will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan, stunt choreography by Silva and editing by Praveen KL.

Premgi Amaren will also be seen as Karthi's best friend in this film. Once the heroine is finalized the makers will make an official announcement about 'Biriyani's cast and crew. Karthi's fans are waiting to taste this Spicy Biriyani..
